Experience
David Browne targets his law practice in litigation and disputes. He has a unique perspective in representing individuals and businesses in plaintiff’s cases. Before joining MGM, he was a personal injury and workers’ compensation defense attorney for several years, defending insurers and employers of all sizes in injury and workers’ compensation cases. His experience working on both sides of the fence gives him the ability to look at each case and hone in its unique merits in the best interest of his clients, helping them set their sights for the best possible outcome.
He represents personal injury victims in cases involving serious motor vehicle accidents, products liability, food poisoning and intentional torts.
His workers’ compensation practice focuses on employees and workers who have been significantly injured or killed on the job. His clients range from international contractors and plant workers to white collar professionals. He represents injured employees in cases such as workplace violence, serious orthopaedic injuries, motor vehicle accidents on the job, and more. David also assists medical providers who treat victims of workplace injuries, such as orthopaedic and neurosurgical groups, in receiving full reimbursement from employers and insurers.
David’s commercial litigation practice includes residential and commercial development and land use, representation of contractors and subcontractors in construction disputes, and representation of lenders and franchisors in contract and collection disputes. His clients include developers, builders, electrical and structural contractors, real estate companies, retailers, and banks. Part of his collections litigation practice involves helping clients recover assets after the case is won, which includes traditional collection options, such as garnishing bank accounts and wages, as well as creative asset discovery and representation at creditors’ meetings in bankruptcy proceedings and representation in receivership matters.
His philosophy of solid lawyer representation, that includes helping clients understand the legal system and negotiate through it, is the foundation for David’s litigation practice. He walks his clients through what is going to happen, what to expect, and the range of potential outcomes in each case in order to help his clients make the best decisions.
